The exterior composition combines brick masonry with board-and-batten siding to create a restrained architectural palette that emphasizes texture, shadow, and proportion rather than decorative detailing. Broad roof forms, covered exterior spaces, and controlled window placement help moderate solar exposure while reinforcing the home’s connection to the surrounding rural landscape.

 

Constructed on a reinforced rebar-tied foundation with 2x6 exterior wall assemblies, the residence was developed with close attention to framing discipline, enclosure continuity, and long-term material performance. Roof transitions, drainage paths, and exterior penetrations were simplified wherever possible to reduce unnecessary complexity during construction and improve long-term maintainability.

 

The project focused heavily on execution quality and coordination between systems rather than relying on layered upgrades after the fact. Structural layout, mechanical routing, insulation strategy, and exterior detailing were evaluated together early in the process to improve constructability and reduce field conflicts during installation.
