Designed for the terrain and climate of the Texas Hill Country, this ranch-style residence near Canyon Lake balances straightforward regional architecture with disciplined construction execution and durable assembly design.

 

The home utilizes a reinforced rebar-tied slab foundation paired with 2x6 exterior wall construction to improve structural rigidity, insulation depth, and overall enclosure performance. Native limestone masonry and stucco were selected not only for their regional character, but for their durability, low maintenance profile, and compatibility with the demanding Central Texas environment.

 

Roof geometry, overhang depth, drainage strategy, and wall transitions were carefully developed to manage water exposure and long-term weathering rather than relying on cosmetic solutions after construction. Mechanical routing, framing layout, and enclosure detailing were coordinated early to reduce unnecessary penetrations, simplify installation, and maintain continuity throughout the building shell.
